Nearly every part of the American economy has been touched by the coronavirus pandemic, including trucking. But because people still need medical supplies, hospital equipment and groceries, truck drivers are far from slowing down
Speaking to The 21st Show, Steve Wilmert, a Springfield-based truck driver, shares his thoughts on truck drivers’ role during the pandemic.
“I realize what truck driving does for the economy as a whole,” he says. “I’ve always had the opinion everyone’s essential one way or another… everybody plays a part.”
