U.S. Farmers Look To Locals Who’ve Lost Their Jobs For Help In The Fields

USDA

Farmers in the U.S. are getting into their fields to plant. Many of them rely on foreign guest workers to help sow their crops, but, in some cases, the pandemic is getting in the way. Some farmers are instead looking to hire much closer to home. WILL's Agriculture Reporter Dana Cronin joined The 21st to discuss her recent reporting.

Also, some temporary, non-immigrant H-2A workers that have arrived in the U.S. are facing health challenges. Sky Chadde shared some of his reporting for the Midwest Center for Investigative Reporting.
