University Of Illinois Developing RapidVent

Illinois requested 4,000 ventilators from the federal government but only received a fraction according to Governor J.B. Pritzker on CNN’s “State of The Union.”
Like Illinois, many states are worried that in a worse-case scenario there will not be enough ventilators for the COVID-19 patients who need them.
A University of Illinois professor is working with a research team on one potential solution to address the shortage, with a device called the “RapidVent.”
