Violence prevention funding in Peoria helps youth

Since 2019, there have been 107 homicides in Peoria, many of these crimes involving shooting deaths. One way the city is working to prevent these violent crimes is by investing in community programs that provide opportunities for younger people.

Many of these programs were funded by state grants and the $1 million from the American Rescue Plan and now let's hear from some of the recipients who received community funding and how they plan on providing more opportunities to the people of the city.
