What a change to Illinois credit card fees could mean for retailers and consumers
Earlier this month, Governor J.B. Pritzker signed the coming year's spending plan for the state into law. One provision in that plan bans banks and credit card companies from charging retailers those fees on taxes and tips.
Illinois would be the first state to do that if the rule takes effect as it's scheduled to next year.
Today on the 21st, we'll start the show by talking with experts about what this could mean for retailers and people who do business with them.
