What Veterans Need In 2020

As we honor those who served our country today on Veterans Day, we wanted to talk to some Veterans and advocates here in Illinois who are working to meet some of the challenges facing our nation’s Veterans.

The 21st spoke with members of the Chez Veterans Center at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign about what Veteran's Day means to them.

Ingrid Wheeler, Assistant Director of Behavioral Health Services at the Chez Veterans Center at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

Sgt. Garrett Thomas Anderson, Outreach Coordinator at Chez Veteran Center.  He served in the US Army from 1998-2005, including a tour in Iraq.  

Jeni Hunniecutt, Assistant Director for Research Engagement and Educational Programming at the Chez Veterans Center. She served in the Virginia Army National Guard from 2008 to 2014.
