Are Illinois Prisoners Receiving Enough COVID-19 Protection?

A survey of Illinois prisoners in the Department of Corrections indicates that almost half of the inmates have not received access to cleaning materials from IDOC to sanitize their cells from COVID-19. Meanwhile, a group of educators donated tens of thousands of dollars worth of hand sanitizer and soap to IDOC help inmates protect themselves from the coronavirus. But some inmates and their loved ones say prisoners have yet to benefit from this donation.
