Justice Antonin Scalia is dead. The influential conservative and provocative member of the Supreme Court was 79. The U.S. Marshals Service confirmed Scalia's death at a private residence in the Big Bend area of South Texas. The service's spokeswoman says Scalia was found dead Saturday morning when he did not appear for breakfast.

On Friday, the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice announced it plans to close the youth correctional facility in Kewanee by July first. The Juvenile Justice department says the closing would save the state about 14 million dollars, improve rehabilitation for young offenders, and improve community safety. It will also eliminate 200 jobs.
