"Tropical Treasures" is the theme of this week's show, featuring all sorts of musical escapism most focused on the lounge genre known as exotica. It was a musical style popular in the late 1950s and early 1960s. It was a way for folks in cities and suburbs to escape the harsh and drab urban jungle and live out their fantasies of lush and colorful tropical paradises.
