Joseph Baldwin, conductor
Conductor Joseph Baldwin became a faculty member at Smith College when he was 23 years old, and has worked with choirs, orchestras, and has taught voice and conducting privately - all of which brought him to the conducting work he does now. But he discovered something else along the way – the practice of yoga. "When I first started yoga I started seeing a correlation in my own work,“ he says. “It opens up the potential of a conductor to be more present and to be more aware and to really listen to what's happening."
