Stephen Schmidt, master piano restorer
Champaign-based Stephen Schmidt transferred his passion for playing music into a career restoring pianos. In 1979, Steve and his partners started The Piano People, located in Champaign, IL. Steve has continued to hone his craft as a master piano restorer over the past 40 years.
We were deeply saddened to learn of Stephen's passing on Friday, May 4, 2018. Our deepest condolences go to his family and friends.
