It must be "Concerto" Week on the "Evening Concert"! By virtue of the order of releases from our performing groups there'll be upwards of half a dozen or more concertos on this week's "Evening Concert".

"Counterpoint" is the copmpositional device common to both Bach's Keyboard Concerto and Schoenberg's Piano Concerto found on tonight's program.

Is it an "accident of history" or choice of Brahms to compose his 1st Piano Concerto in the dramatic key of D Minor?
