Erich Wolfgang Korngold & Bernard Herrmann

After over a century of film history, the music to accompany the art of film has become “classical” music. That is hardly a surprise since classical composers such as Erich Wolfgang Korngold wrote for the silver screen. Also, composers such as Bernard Herrmann tried to balance a career between film and concert hall. On Classics of the Phonograph, Saturday at 11 am on WILL-FM, we will hear music composed by these two men for films such as Elizabeth and Essex and Psycho.
