A Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Tonight at 7:00 on The Evening Concert it’s “A Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.”  The first hour is devoted to works by Black American classical composers like William Grant Still; the second hour presents works that use Dr. King’s words as text: Nicholas Flagello’s “The Passion of Martin Luther King” and Joseph Schwantner’s “New Morning for the World.”
