Cellist Jan Vogler plays Bloch’s “Schelomo” with the New York Philharmonic

It was a recording of American cellist Leonard Rose. In Vogler's words "It's (Bloch's 'Schelomo') a very passionate piece"***.  Tonight at 7:00 on the Evening Concert on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. Jan Vogler is the cellist in Ernest Bloch’s “Schelomo, a Hebraic Rhapsody”. Music Director Alan Gilbert conducts. Also on the program Christopher Rouse’s “Phantasmata” and Brahms’ 1st Symphony.
