Visions of Mexico
One of the powerhouses of Latin American music, Mexico is home to some of the great
composers of the 20th and 21st centuries. We will share the many different musical visions of
Mexico. Starting with the composer of the famous “Huapango”, José Pablo Moncayo, and
including recent works by Emilio Toussaint and Hebert Vázquez. (contact me trauth@illinois.edu for details).
