Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 you’ll hear Tara Helen O’Connor as soloist in one of Mozart “Flute Quartets” on the “Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center”. At 8:00 you’ll hear symphonic music of Spanish composer Tomás Bretón on “Fiesta”.

Tomás Bretón: Spanish Symphonist
Few Spanish symphonies, if any, have found their place within the standard repertoire, a strange
phenomenon, considering the richness and depth of the existing repertoire in this field. On this program
we share the music of Tomás Bretón, a composer known for his zarzuela theatrical productions as well as
being a master symphonist. All works on the program are by Tomás Bretón
