Mahler’s “Ninth Symphony” featured on tonight’s “Evening Concert” from San Francisco

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “San Francisco Symphony”.  Music Director Michael Tilson Thomas conducts Mahler’s “Ninth Symphony”, his last completed symphonic work. The symphony has many motivic and thematic quotations and the mood is reflective of a composer facing his mortality.
