Inspiring Stories

I have read/heard many inspiring stories and comments, both while conducting my interview, and reading others. It really makes me think about and want to do something about the discrimination some people face in their daily lives. While she was being interviewed, Kathie Spegal talked about how a person's preferences for their spouse is something they cannot control. She also talked about when she realized who she was and how happy she was to find out there were other people just like her. These stories make me sad that many people do not understand that they are not alone. Another story that I found inspiring was when Bob Rowe said that many people in the military do not want to get kicked based on sexual preferences, so they get married heterosexually. It is sad to think that people cover up who they are in order to stay in a job under the government.
