Illinois poet Gwendolyn Brooks said ‘poetry is life distilled.’ Chicago poet, playwright, and novelist Angela Jackson joins Brooks and Carl Sandburg as the state’s fifth poet laureate. We’ll hear some of her work and about the life that inspires her words.
