College has traditionally been the place young adults get the education they need to pursue their life’s calling. At one of Chicago’s City Colleges, there’s a program for student’s whose life calling deals with death.

The school-based mentorship program CU 1-to-1 is seeking more mentors, especially for immigrant children who need extra support.

A new program from the Champaign County Regional Planning Commission has set some ambitious goals to cut recidivism and boost educational attainment and employment rates over the next three years for 18 to 24 year olds who have had some contact with the justice system. The initiative is called the Young Adult Reentry Program (YARP).
