Champaign Mayor Feinen Backs Proposal To Study Citizen Police Review Board

At its study session set for Tuesday night, April 26, the Champaign City Council will consider a proposal to form a "working group" to study the concept of a citizen police review board.

At-large Councilman Will Kyles has been pushing for discussion of the issue. And Mayor Deb Feinen says thinks proposal to look at the idea will win council support --- although she says it's too early to say if the council will move to actually create a citizen police review board.

Feinen talked about the idea with Illinois Public Media's Jim Meadows.
