Republican Congressman Rodney Davis is holding another “Tele-Town Hall” this evening, and some of his opponents are hosting a listening party.

The 13th District Republican from Taylorville will hold the call at 6:30pm Wednesday. Constituents who want to take part need to sign up at his website, https://rodneydavis.house.gov/tele-town-hall-survey/.

Meanwhile, the progressive group CU Indivisible is hosting a listening party for the call at Quality Bar in downtown Champaign starting at 6pm.

In a news release, Davis’s office calls the Tele-town hall a chance to “ask questions and listen to Congressman Davis discuss policy issues important to the 13th District.”

In their own release, CU Indivisible says the call is “designed to maximize his use of talking points,” and calls on Davis to hold an actual town hall style meeting.

Davis has declined to host such meetings, calling them unproductive.
