Rantoul Trustees Confirm Eisenhauer As Village Administrator
The Rantoul Village Board has confirmed the appointment of Scott Eisenhauer as their new village administrator, succeeding Rick Snider.
The 53-year-old Eisenhauer is the four-term mayor of Danville. But he will step down from that post next month to run Rantoul’s village government.
Rantoul village trustees voted 5 to nothing Tuesday night, with one member absent, to confirm Eisenhauer’s appointment.
The Rantoul Press reports that Eisenhauer will be paid $100,000 a year as village administrator. The newspaper says that salary will go up if he earns a bachelor’s degree. Eisenhauer currently holds an associate degree from Danville Area Community College.
A member of the Danville City Council will serve out the final months of Eisenhauer’s term as interim mayor. The City Council will choose the interim mayor at its meeting next week.
