The Space

 

An unusual restaurant in downtown Champaign, Il. combines two concepts you usually don’t see under one roof: fine dining and live performance that welcomes all sorts of artists. The Space, founded by Doug Hodge and Ian Nutting, sources much of its ingredients from local suppliers to create a wide ranging menu with creative ingredients. 

Think traditional fare like burgers and fish with inventive, fresh takes on appetizers and main courses including Bone Marrow and fries and jerk octopus. The dining area features multicolored chairs mixed with vibey wall art and a laid-back diner feel.
