On this week's Prairie Performances, Friday at 7 pm on WILL-FM 90.9, enjoy performances by pianist Andre Watts, among other famous musicians. Pianist Andre Watts has been beloved around the world since his jaw dropping debut at the age of 16, when he performed Liszt’s Piano Concerto in Eb under the baton of Leonard Bernstein. This performer has a fascinating story to tell and dazzling performances to be heard. Afterwards, African American pianist and composer George Walker joins Sinfonia da Camera for a world première of his work for cello and orchestra featuring Dmitry Kouzov, and a performance of his Pulitzer-Prize-winning work, Lilacs.
