On this week's Prairie Performances, Friday at 7 pm on WILL-FM 90.9: Simone Lamsma performs Beethoven’s Violin concerto on a “Mlynarski” Stradivarius, manufactured in 1718, with the Illinois Symphony directed by newly appointed conductor Ken Lam. The concert themed “Beautiful Beethoven” comes just in time to commemorate Beethoven’s 247th birthday on Saturday, December 16.
