On this week's Prairie Performances, Friday at 7 pm on WILL-FM 90.9: The apotheosis of a tragically short career, Felix Mendelssohn’s Elijah is an epic oratorio based on one of the most influential prophets of the Old Testament. Faith, curses, confrontation, exile, resurrection, and Elijah’s own personal struggle form the dramatic basis for one of the true masterworks of Western music.
