Thursday night January 4 at 7:00 on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the first episode in a series new to the WILL-FM airwaves: “The Sound of 13” hosted by Garret McQueen” which examines the intersection between the 13th Amendment and classical music. At 8:00 it’s “The Middle”: a weekly, non-partisan call-in talk show on politics.  

Wednesday night December 7 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra”.  Music Director Laureate Edo de Waart leads the group in Beethoven’s “Pastoral” Symphony and Delius’ “In a Summer Garden”. Also on the program Elgar’s “Cello Concerto” with soloist Susan Babini.

The great conductor Sir Thomas Beecham was a great admirer, in fact.

Beethoven's "3rd" Piano Concerto was premiered in 1803 with the composer as the soloist...the film "Our Town" is a 1940 movie adaptation of the famous 1938 Thornton Wilder play.
