McFadden Takes Another Chicago Marathon

University of Illinois graduate Tatyana McFadden has won the women's wheelchair division of the Chicago Marathon for the seventh time, finishing the race in 1:42:28. McFadden had a quick turnaround after her successful run at the Paralympic games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was also her fifth consecutive win in Chicago as she pursues another marathon 'grand slam' (Chicago, New York, Boston, and London.)

U Of I Athlete George Talks Sunday Event In Champaign, Growing Popularity Of Paralympians

With all the attention on the Summer Olympics in Rio, some may not know that more events will be held in the city about three weeks from now.  Seven athletes from the University of Illinois are currently competing there, but seventeen others with connections to the Urbana campus are prepping for the Paralympics, starting September 7.  There's a chance to meet these athletes in downtown Champaign Sunday, including 4-time medialist Josh George.
