The New York Choral Artists are featured in Brahms’ “A German Requiem” and John Adams’ “On the Transmigration of Souls”. Kurt Masur conducted the Brahms’, and Lorin Maazel conducted the Adams’.

You’ll hear Sylvia McNair and 3 other vocal soloists, the New York Choral Artists, and the American Boychoir in Beethoven’s “9th Symphony”. Also on the program, Dvroak’s “Cello Concerto” with soloist Yo-Yo Ma.
Masur passed away last December 19th. The Philharmonic put together this program in his honor.
