Leron Black scored a career-high 28 points to lead the Illini men to their third conference win of the season yesterday in Champaign, 72-66 over Nebraska.

Kipper Nichols and Leron Black each scored 17 points and grabbed 11 and 9 rebounds, respectively, to lead the Illini men past Marshall by a score of 91-74 Sunday evening at State Farm Center.

Interim Head Coach Jamall Walker picked up a victory in the Illini's NIT opener, 82-57 over Valparaiso at State Farm Center Tuesday night.  Malcolm Hill led the Illini with 25 points. Leron Black added a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds, as the Illini advance to the second round to face the winner of Boise State and Utah, who play later Tuesday evening.

The Illini men's basketball team beat Northwestern 66-50 last night in Champaign. It's the first back-to-back Big Ten wins for Illinois since the end of the 2015 season.

Malcolm Hill led all scorers with 18 points, and added five rebounds and five assists. 

Illinois is 1-1 in the Big Ten after a 75-70 win over Ohio State at State Farm Center in Champaign.  The Illini lost a 15-point lead before recovering to get the win on New Year's Day.
