The sixth-year senior's career-high 31 points led the Illinois men's basketball team to its fourth straight win, 92-73 over Central Michigan.  The Illini are now 8-3 this season.

The Illini men's basketball team won its second straight game, knocking off Virginia Commonwealth at the HoopHall Miami Invitational. Three Illinois players scored in double figures.

Winthrop University defeated the Illini men's basketball team 84-80 in overtime Monday night at the State Farm Center. The Eagles erased a 10-point-deficit in the last 2:43 of regulation. The game was part of the NIT Season Tip-Off tournament.

Kendrick Nunn, who pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery last week, has been dismissed from the Illini men's basketball team.  Illinois Athletic Director Josh Whitman and Coach John Groce issued a joint statement Tuesday, saying the decision was made after 'extensive deliberation.'  The two said this would 'send a strong message about what is acceptable behavior for our student-athletes.'

Prosecutors have dropped a misdemeanor domestic battery charge against Illinois basketball player Jaylon Tate after concluding there was not enough evidence to convict him.  Tate, a 21-year-old junior, was was suspended from the team after his arrest.  UPDATE: He was reinstated to the team by Athletic Director Josh Whitman Friday
