Tomorrow is Election Day for many of Illinois’ cities and towns. Voters across the state will choose their local leaders with mayoral and city council races in some of our biggest cities. Including Chicago, Champaign and Springfield. Plus, we’ll revisit our conversation with Brian Wallach. He was diagnosed with ALS a little more than a year ago. Since that time, he’s been trying to raise $100 million to help find a cure for future generations.

A Michigan automotive company, Rivian Automotive, hopes to take over the former Mitsubishi plant in Normal, and employ as many as 1,000 people. The 2.4-million-square foot facility that at its peak employed about 3,000 workers was shut down by Mitsubishi in November of last year. The last of the automaker's employees were laid off in May.

Kent Ferguson is one of the Mitsubishi workers losing his job when the plant in Normal closes. Ferguson is a tool and die craftsman and talked with Charlie Schlenker about the plant closing and how the employees are doing. 

Mitsubishi Motors officials say the company will stop making vehicles at its central Illinois factory. Annual production there has fallen to 64,000 vehicles from more than 200,000 in 2002.

A woman and a small female child received an initial diagnosis at OSF Promptcare on Fort Jesse Road in Normal on Sunday.   Tests on Tuesday came back with negative results.
