Fresh “Evening Concert” programs: Tchaikovsky, Kreisler and others

This week on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 you’ll hear Tchaikovsky’s “Violin Concerto” from New York, Saint-Saens’ “Organ” Symphony from Chicago, Beethoven’s “Grosse Fuge” from Schwetzingen, Brahms’ “3rd Symphony” from San Francisco, then Sunday electronic music from Lincoln Center and chamber music by Fritz Kreisler from Santa Fe.

ChristianTetzlaff plays Brahms’ “Violin Concerto”

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.  ChristianTetzlaff is the soloist in Brahms’ “Violin Concerto”. Music Director Manfred Honeck conducts. Also on the program Saint-Saens’ “Organ” Symphony and John Adams’ “Lollapalooza”.
