A small garden on the University of Illinois Urbana campus now memorializes Yingying Zhang. She’s the visiting scholar from China who disappeared in June of 2017.  More than 100 people turned out Thursday for a dedication ceremony for the garden, during which a dedication stone was unveiled.

University of Illinois police say they've received many responses to their request for information in the case of a visiting scholar from China who has been missing since Friday. Security camera video shows 26-year-old Yingying Zhang climbing into a car on campus and then being driven away. Friends and family have not heard from her since.
