Wednesday night October 4 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the first program in a new series from the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. You’ll hear Wynton Marsalis’ “Herald, Holler, and Hallelujah” and Strauss’ “An Alpine Symphony”. Also on the program Gershwin’s “Concerto in F” with soloist Aaron Diehl.

Thursday night October 27 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the “Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra”.  Music Director Manfred Honeck leads the group in Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Scheherazade” and Wynton Marsalis’ “Herald, Holler and Hallelujah”. Also on the program Britten’s “Piano Concerto” with soloist Leif Ove Andsnes.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 we present two specials from the “Ebony Classics” series. You’ll hear George Walker’s “3rd Piano Sonata”, Mary Lou Williams’ “St. Martin de Porres”, Florence Price’s “Ethiopia’s Shadow in America” and Regina Carter’s “Alexandra”.

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 you’ll hear string quartets by Bartok and Wynton Marsalis on “The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center”.  At 8:00 it’s music of Piazzolla and Chavez on “Fiesta! With Elbio Barilari”.
