The National Weather Service confirms multiple tornadoes in Illinois on the night of December 10, 2021. Meteorologists say our state saw two EF-3 tornadoes, including one in the Metro East area. This storm with top winds of 155 miles per hour struck an Amazon facility, killing at least six people. Search efforts continue today although authorities do not expect to find any more survivors. EF-2 tornadoes also touched down in Shelby, Moultrie and Coles Counties, 60 miles south of the Champaign-Urbana area. To talk about the effects of these storms and increasing severe weather, we were joined by a reporter from the Metro East and the state climatologist.
