We started the show by talking with Natalie Phelps Finnie, director of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. She still needs to be confirmed by the Illinois Senate. She hails from Southern Illinois, and she’s the daughter of former U.S. Representative David Phelps. From 2017-2019, she was a Democratic state representative based out of Harrisburg.
