Route 66 in Illinois: New film explores highway from coast-to-coast
John Paget wrote and directed a new documentary called “Route 66: The Main Street of America." James Waugh
We continue our series reflecting on 100 years of Route 66 — particularly the 300-or-so miles of it that span the 21st state.
However, Route 66 goes well beyond the borders of Illinois passing through Missouri, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. The entirety of the Mother Road is the subject of a new documentary from First+Main Films. It’s called “Route 66: The Main Street of America”.
The director of the film joins the program.
