Prtizker also says the state will need more ventilators to prepare for a worst case scenario. We spoke with an Illinois engineer whose team created a device meant to help.

Governor J.B. Pritzker extended the stay-at-home order to April 30 in an effort to combat the spread of the coronavirus. The state general assembly has not been able to meet for four weeks now and with the extention of the stay at home order this could go on for much longer.
