Tuesday night February 11 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL 90.9 FMHD1 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. Pekka Kuusisto is the soloist in Bryce Desser’s “Violin Concerto”. Also on the program Stravinsky’s “Symphony in Three Movements” and Ravel’s “Mother Goose”.
Monday night February 10 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL 90.9 FMHD1 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. Anthony McGill is the soloist in Carl Nielsen’s “Clarinet Concerto”. You’ll also hear Ravel’s “Noble and Sentimental Waltzes”. The program differs from the one listed in Patterns Magazine.
Sunday night February 9 at 6:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL 90.9 FMHD1 you’ll hear Grieg’s “Holberg Suite” and Neilsen’s “Quintet for Winds” on the “Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center”. At 7:00 you’ll hear a program of music by Robert Xavier Rodriguez on “Fiesta”.
Friday night February 7 at 7:00 on WILL 90.9 FMHD1 it’s “Early Music Now with Sara Schneider”. You'll hear a program titled “The Musical World of Maria Sibylla Merian”. Broadcasting this program on Friday nights at 7:00 gives us time to collect new local recordings for use on future “Prairie Performances”.
Wednesday night February 5 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL 90.9 FMHD1 it’s the Cleveland Orchestra. Alisa Weilerstein is the soloist in Barber’s “Cello Concerto”. Music Director Franz Welser-Most conducts. Also on the program Prokofiev’s “4th Symphony”.

Monday night February 3 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL 90.9 FMHD1 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. You’ll hear Julia Wolfe’s oratorio “Fire in My Mouth” featuring the Women of The Crossing directed by University of Illinois Grammy-winning Choral Conductor Donald Nally.
Sunday night February 2 at 6:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL 90.9 FMHD1 you’ll hear two “String Quartets” by Alberto Ginastera on the “Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center”. At 7:00 o’clock you’ll hear “Latin American Songs” on “Fiesta”.

Wednesday night January 29 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL 90.9 FMHD1 it’s the fourth program in a new series from the Cleveland Orchestra. You’ll hear Dvorak’s “New World Symphony” and Julius Eastman’s “2nd Symphony”. Also on the program Wynton Marsalis’ “Trumpet Concerto”.
