Joe Petry, a clinical professor of economics who once ran for mayor of Champaign, has been placed on administrative leave by the University of Illinois, pending results of an investigation.

The University of Illinois College of Engineering is on track to be renamed the Grainger College of Engineering next month, as it receives a $100 million gift from the Grainger Foundation.  The university’s board of trustees is expected to vote on the name change at its May 16 meeting in Springfield.

Illinois State University and Bradley University have signed an agreement in which WGLT-FM will assume operations of WCBU-FM in Peoria starting June 1.
