Gov. Bruce Rauner vetoed a Senate bill he said would 'prematurely expand the Medical Cannabis Pilot Program' by adding Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder to qualifying conditions.  Illinois' Public Health Director rejected 10 more. The rulings frustrate a physician that recommended them.

The U of I's chief financial officer told Trustees Thursday that the budget standoff in Springfield will mean the board can't vote on a budget at its November meeting either, saying a 60 day window is needed.

More ethanol fuel blends could soon be for sale at gas stations in Illinois after a multi-million dollar federal investment in the industry’s infrastructure. The U.S. department of Agriculture is giving the state $12 million dollars to expand access to ethanol in Illinois.
