Lincoln Museum Removes Booth Statue From Entry Plaza
Friday, April 14 marks the anniversary of the assassination of Abraham Lincoln by John Wilkes Booth. The two are forever connected in history.
But a recent decision by the Lincoln Presidntial Museum in Springfield has put them a bit further apart.
A life-size statue of Booth, shown lounging at the entrance to the White House, has been removed from the museum's main plaza.
Museum spokesman Chris Wells discussed the decision with Illinois Public Radio's Sean Crawford.
