One Dead, One Seriously Injured After Champaign Shooting

Champaign Police say one man is dead and another seriously injured after a shooting on the city’s north side overnight.

Officers were called to the 400 block of Brookwood Drive just past 1 a.m. 

Police say a 40-year old Champaign man was killed, while a 35-year old Urbana man was taken to Carle Hospital with life-threatening injuries.  The names of the victims aren’t being released at this time.

Detectives and Crime Scene technicians are currently interviewing a number of people who were at the scene, and processing evidence.
