This week on Prairie Performances at 7 pm on Friday on WILL-FM we have a concert with the Illinois Symphony Orchestra conducted by Alastair Willis.
The program themed “Mostly Mozart” will include a newly composed piece by Uzbekistani composer, Dmitri Yanov-Yanovsky. We will also hear the premiere of “Musica nostalgica”, a piece in homage to composer Albert Malakhov. From the “Mostly Mozart’ portion of the program we will hear the Overture to “Don Giovanni” and Symphony # 35 “Haffner”.
