Champaign-Urbana is bracing for its second consecutive weekend of winter weather, with up to six inches of snow expected in some areas of central Illinois before the storm dissipates late Saturday night.
Forecasters are predicting up to eight inches of snow to fall in the Champaign-Urbana area beginning late Friday evening through much of the day Saturday.
Accumulation will likely range from a dusting in southern Champaign County to up to five inches in parts of Ford County.
The first measureable snowfall of the season in Champaign-Urbana may come just in time for a white Christmas.
