A Champaign County jury has awarded nearly $10 million to a woman who lost her legs after being struck last year by a Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District bus.
The MCORE (Multimodal Corridor Enhancement) Project is paid for through a federal grant received last fall, as well as matching funds. It's divided into five projects, expanding major streets in Campustown for buses, pedestrians, and bicyclists.
