Monday night June 20 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. It’s a program of works that had their world premieres by the Philharmonic, like Dvorak’s “New World Symphony”, Copland’s “Connotations for Orchestra” and Corigliano’s “Clarinet Concerto”.

Anthony McGill is the soloist in Mozart’s “Clarinet Concerto”.  Robert Langevin is the soloist in Mozart’s “2nd Flute Concerto” and Rouse’s “Flute Concerto”.

Michael Rusinek plays Weber’s “1st Clarinet Concerto”

Tonight at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on FM 90.9 it’s the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Michael Rusinek is the soloist in Weber’s “1st Clarinet Concerto”. Manfred Honeck conducts.  Also on the program Strauss’ Suite from the ballet “Whipped Cream” and waltzes and polkas by the Strauss family and others.
